Lt. Bounds, 447th Sqdn. led the formation. Target area reported well covered. Many bursts in town of Albano. East of town hit at road junction. Flak was slight to moderate, heavy, fairly accurate, reported by first flight. Intense heavy, accurate at target, reported by last flight. Twelve planes holed.

Besides four sons, daughter of Dr and Mrs. Fitzgerald's daughter joined the Navy (post-war) as an RN....later, Tom joined the Army.
