November 6, 1944 Mission to Castel Novo Railroad Bridge

Squadron	War Diary
Group HQ	The Trento power and transformer station was the 340th target today and extensive damage was wrought by the attacking formations. The operation was part of a concentrated effort to knock out all the power running through the Brenner Pass. The Castelnuovo bridge was the day's second target, and it, too, was satisfactorily hit.
486th	Again 100% on the target. Patterns are excellent.
487th	The second wave of six B-25's of this Squadron taking off at 10:05 hours with 20x1000 bombs weren't quite so successful in their attack on Borgo E. Railroad bridge. Their pattern hit approximately 100 yards east of the east approach. However, ack-ack was inaccurate and the raid was considered a milk run.
