| Group HQ | Operations today were conducted against bridges at Canneto and Sestro Calende in the Po Valley. Particularly good work was done by the 487th on the road/rail bridge at the latter place. An alternate target, Solignano rail bridge, was damaged only slightly. |

| 487th | The Sesto Calende railroad bridge was the target for eighteen of our ships this morning. The huge formation was over the target shortly after nine o'clock dropping their bombs with precision accuracy. Direct hits were scored on the bridge itself and both approaches were damaged. Enemy opposition was non-existent and all planes returned safely to the base. |
