Good pattern along coast through pinpoint. Anti-aircraft light, heavy, accurate and concentrated. No Enemy aircraft.

Six planes holed.

Two ships estimated 300 to 400 feet marked with red crosses estimated 500 yards off shores directly east of pinpoint. Messina harbor crowded with shipping. Two ships of good size, balance small boats and barges. Area between Castanea D Furio and Gesso seems to be clear of anti-aircraft.
