April 13, 1944 Mission to Terni Marshalling Yards

Squadron	War Diary
486th	Target was the RR bridge NW of Ficulle with alternate Terni M/Yds. Briefing time was at 0800. Take-off at 0856. The boys went without breakfast as it wasn't decided what organization of the 321st we were to mess with. The 486th bombed a highway bridge 4 miles NW of the target. Several bursts were very close to the north end of the bridge.
487th	The remaining four ships plastered the alternate target which was Terni M/Y scoring at least four direct hits in the yards and some on buildings in the vicinity. No enemy opposition of any kind was encountered.
488th	Not assigned to this mission.
489th	The marshalling yards at Terni received a pasting today by planes of this Group. The damage done was probably considerable, although this mission was not among the best ones we have flown.
