| 340th HQ Diary | German troop concentrations on the Eighth army front near Bastia (Italy) were covered with frags from our B-25s today. In the afternoon crews went to the Brenner line again, and scored direct hits on the San Margherita south rail bridge as well as just missing the north bridge. At Ala our bomb pattern crossed the rail bridge there. |

| 487th | Ala Railroad Bridge - 6 ships. Pattern centered on the south approach to the bridge with possible hits on the bridge. Inaccurate anti-aircraft fire was encountered. |
| 488th | Flak: Heavy, scant and inaccurate on turn off. Results: 1st box lead plane dropped just left of center, D/H seen. #5 toggled over. 2nd box started short and walked through bridge. |
